This marks the seventh year I’ve created a card for the holiday season. I wanted to illustrate a collection of keepsakes, or “found magic,” you might encounter around the winter solstice. Some of these, such as mistletoe, have been a part of rituals surrounding the winter solstice since long before the advent of Christmas — while others are not native to the natural world and could have been found or saved in a kind of ritual of their own. I believe there is a lot that can be gained from things that are tactile and I’ve arranged all these items here as an offering to you.
